Each commission begins with in depth discussions with you about your aims and objectives for the new piece of work. After these preliminary discussions, I begin with working drawings and maquettes, before moving on to the final piece. I invite you to my studio at intervals throughout the making process in order to discuss progress and direction. Once the final work complete, the new sculpture goes to the foundry for casting. You are invited to visit the foundry to see the mould making and casting process, and finally to view the patination of the finished bronze.
Each commission takes several months to complete and I usually only take on a maximum one commission per year. The price of a sculpture commission is determined by its size and complexity of the composition. A small bronze sculpture begins in the region of £6000.
