WOODCUT & LINOCUT PRINTMAKING WORKSHOP at Higher Spargo School of Art Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th October Mabe Burnthouse, Penryn, Cornwall, TR10 9JQ higherspargoartschool.org 2-day workshop £195 including lunch and refreshments All materials included, all tools provided This 2-day workshop is a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of woodcut and linocut printmaking - from designing, carving, inking and printing woodblocks and linoblocks, using multi block or masking techniques for multicoloured or monochrome hand-pressed prints. No previous experience is necessary to join this workshop, the course is designed to accommodate both curious beginners as well as experienced artists.

Saturday 14th November: 1-day workshop 10am-4.30pm Friday 20th November: 1-day workshop 10am-4.30pm The Studio Nellies Cottage, Portlooe, Looe PL13 2HY the-workshop-table Using simple techniques for striking results, this workshop gives you all the skills you need for tabletop linocut printmaking. Step by step through the creative printing process, from composing your design to carving, inking and printing your linoblock, using a variety of techniques for multicoloured or monochrome prints. Whether you're learning printmaking for the first time or refining your existing skills, this workshop is designed to welcome all levels of experience £75 for 1-day workshop 10am-4.30pm All materials are included, and tools are provided. Numbers in my workshops are limited to 8 people. |

Stay at Trethake
My studio is now happily ensconced at Trethake on the south coast of Cornwall in a rural river valley is just 1-mile from the south west coast path. Known as the Cornish Riviera, the coastline here is one of Cornwall's best kept secrets, with rocky coves, sandy beaches, dense woodland and an emerald river estuary. Wildflowers, butterflies and birds thrive in the coastal meadows and dolphins, seals and porpoises can be spotted in the clear summer water.
The perfect Cornish retreat for an artist - Trethake Barn is a lovely large open plan living space with apex ceilings, flagstone floors and underfloor heating. Set in 7 acres of water meadows and woodland. Endless walking opportunities from the garden gate with footpaths, green lanes, bridle ways and coast paths.
